calls my number but verizon says it is an unavailable number or disconnected calls but verizon says it is unavailable number

same situation as many of the others... multiple calls per day. no answer when called back, no response when i answer. annoying as hell! when i did call it back it said the verizon number i was calling was disconnected or no longer in service. why do we have the no call registry if this crap can keep happening.

Received a call at 9:44pm which I missed because I was asleep. No message left.

For Verizon Customers go online at verizonwireless.com. Log in and go to "safeguards"...you can block 5 numbers per line for free. I added this to mine, time will tell if it works. It kept erroring out when I'd hit submit, but the number does show up on the blocked list, so I think it took despite the error message.

Just got a call from this number. Since it is clear no one can stop this number, I will do as I did before with undesirables who didn't want to listen. I save it into my directory, (both land line and cell phones have this feature most of the time) and select for a ring tone "mute", or "announce only" and magically I never hear them call again. Yes, if you ever FIND these clowns, and get an address, or REAL phone number, or name, I will be happy to hunt them down as I did one porn spammer 12 years ago in Canada.... Not sure it was legal, but "it" worked and made me feel better... So any of you find this clown, let me in on the information so I can have fun again...

i have received several annoying phone calls from this number every hour of the day, even late at night. i don't answer because i don't recognize the number and they don't leave a message. If i do answer there is no one there. I have also tried to call this number back and i get a message saying verizon wireless, the number you have reached has been disconnected or has changed. want this to stop immediately!

I just started getting calls from this number on my cell. It rings twice and hangs up. So far 5 calls from this number today!

Good luck getting FCC to do anything. I reported this to the FCC and received a letter back telling me that they won't investigate.

For those people who are having this call I want to enlighten you somewhat. This call for all intensive purposes is originating from a PC. It is using an line emulator and is not only using this phone number as a mask, but it is more than likely routing through several different phone numbers. There will be no way for your typical Verizon CSR to inform you who it is, because it could quite well be originating in another country (not to mention from a pc). The reason you are getting a verizon message when calling it back is because they are forwarding the calls to Verizon voicemail box they know is inactive. This will need to be something the FCC investigates, and it will not be solved easily. They are phishing for information as a previous user described. There are ways to get your personal account information off of your phones. My personal advice to you is to not answer it, log the times/dates, and report them to http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm. I unfortunately have no available solution since I haven't the resources needed to track them. Good luck, everyone.
