Someone by the name Richard Johnson called from BCI regarding criminal case against my social security number, same guy called me with another name a week ago.He must be a scam artist.

From voice mail received at 6:48am: Caller apparently reading from a script says name is "Richard Johnson" calling from BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigations) about a criminal charge case regarding my social security number. I am told that the call is not a threat but that failure to return his call would result in authorities causing me to lose my job or my home. Ironically, about 3 weeks ago, I answered a call from (970) 172-420. That is not a typo. That is what shows up on caller ID. A "George White" with the same accent had been leaving the same messages for over a month with the same threats, to call him at (631) 572-8164. No one ever answers this number. When I answered "George" was caught off gaurd. He told me to call him back because his attorney needed to speak to me. I told him to put him on the phone right now. He insisted I call back which I did not do. I told him to send me something in writing if this was ligitimate. He asked for my address. I told him that if his lawyer has filed a case then they already have the address. Of course I never received any mailing. "George" quit calling so now it is "Richard".

Caller with foreign accent, likely Indian, said he was Paul Smith and claimed to be from Bureau of Criminal Investigations, but was very vague as to who he represented. Later claimed he was from the US Gov't. Phone number is from the state of PA. After speaking to him to try & get more info, he insisted i speak to his Supervisor, Frank Harris, whom he said had more info and thus tried transferring me to but we got disconnected. Very likely scammers. Note: very similar person with accent left essage a day later on my phone from 310-405-6493 which by this site is noted to be scammers.
