I also received their email as another individual stated as a result from responding to an ad on Craigslist. Guess I won't use Craigslist anymore. There was another one earlier last week for a similar job in an area closer to where I live. The email with this phone number isn't asking for credit report, but a background check instead.

I got the exact same message as all of you. It is my belief that any email asking you to use free-credit-reports.com is an advertising gimmick to get people to sign up for the web service. For all of you who already did, I'm sorry. Free-credit-reports.com claims to be a free service, but it in fact is not. Eventually, they will find a way to charge you in the end. The red flag should be when they ask you for your card information. A website that you can actually get your credit reports without giving your card info is annualcreditreport.com. The person responsible for this ad is a prick and I hate that he/she is messing with people who are under the pressure of finding a job. Being without a job gives us more than enough stress as it is.
